We stumbled across this tree farm after driving a far way. Beautiful trees. We didn’t cut ours down but that is an option. There is a beautiful barn / store with delicious food. The best part is the homemade beer from handcrafted from the Benedictine monks in the abbey. Enjoying that at the outdoor stone fireplace was amazing
This is a smidge earlier than when we'd normally go and it appears we beat the crowd. They have a gorgeous group of pre-cuts here right now and u-cut has already started. We cut our own and easily found a handful of excellent options. Just remember to make a reservation and bring $10 in cash for a deposit on a saw if you need one. We've been here a few times before and the people here are always really friendly.
My nephews and I had an amazing time cutting down a tree for my house this year and will be back next year! Abbey Farms had a variety of sizes and complimentary hot chocolate and donuts after the tree cutting, which both the kids and I enjoyed. 🙂 …
Enjoyed a fun day at the farm, we went on a Friday in September it wasn’t busy at all, did little bit of everything except the petting zoo (Only open on the weekend) It’s a mellow place .
We had a great time, even though my kiddo face planted in the hamster wheel and got a black eye. Everyone was very helpful and got us ice packs. Plenty of things for kids to do. Loved the animal section, and the hamster wheel. Mini pies, donuts , fudge, crisp and food available at the farm.
The store was nice lots of variety, huge grilled cheese good hot cider. The cost of $20+ a head, when it's seniors is a bit steep when on a budget.
This was our first time visiting Abbey Farms. We do not have young children nor grandchildren yet so all we could do was people watch. We did enjoy the tractor ride. We were excited to try an apple cider donut with a cup of cider but much to our dismay, they do not sell individual donuts. You have to buy a half dozen. This was a huge disappointment to us because we were traveling from out of state and did not want nor need a half dozen donuts. We felt the advertising was misleading with the donuts and cider.
Cute!! Unfortunately we came during the week so the petting zoo wasn't open which was soooo disappointing and one of the only reasons we wanted to come here. The kids had fun with everything they could climb and slide down. The tractor ride....well lets just say it was one bumpy ride and dont let any kids sit near the open back where the doors are. We tried to do the corn maze but it was sooo muddy and wet we never got to finish it. We ended up getting a half dozen doughnuts on our way out which so far they are delicious. Staff whom we actually seen, seemed friendly just seemed understaffed here. Overall, a good experience just need to come back on the weekend so we can actually enjoy the petting zoo. Thanks!
